Today on our 2000 Ford F-350, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Westin Premiere oval tube steps, part number 22-6020. And here's what our Westin running boards are going to look like, once they're installed. They're going to measure 6 inches wide by 75 inches long, coming with a polished stainless steel construction and oval design, with the protective covers in the front so no debris gets down in the slots. It's also going to have that nice sure grip step that's going to be nice and wide to ensure that you get the best step up into your vehicle, as well as a rear one for your extended cab vehicles. Now let's go ahead and see how sturdy they are. Open up your door and step on in. First thing we'll need to do is get underneath the bottom side of the vehicle and locate our mounting points. more

DeeZee Nxt Running Boards Installation - 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Today on our 2006 Ford F350, we'll be installing the Dee Zee Running Boards part number DZ16301-16326. Now to begin our install, we'll start underneath the pickup where we'll locate the attachment points in the rocker panel for our running board brackets. Starting towards the front of the vehicle, we'll use the manufacturer's pre-drilled holes to put the clip nuts in place. We'll go ahead and slide them into position now. Next, we'll find our rear bracket location which will be just about even with the back edge of the front door and put our clip nuts in position. Now with our clip nuts in place, we can go ahead and install the running board brackets using the new hardware provided with the install kit. more

Bestop TrekStep Truck Step Installation - 2013 Ford F-250

Today on our 2013 Ford F250, we'll be installing the Bestop TrekStep Side Mounted Truck Step, part number B7540315. We'll begin our test fit underneath the vehicle on the drivers side and locate the bed support rib, closest to the cab, under the truck bed. Once we've located this, we'll slide the top mount bracket into the rib and drop the stud to the two holes. You'll need to make sure you use the large hole for the inside stud. Now with that in place, we're ready to install our mounting bracket. You'll need to make sure the lower lip is facing the rear of the vehicle. We'll then line up the holes in the mounting bracket with the studs in the top bracket. We'll then use the nyloc nuts and washers to secure the mounting bracket to the top mount bracket. Now the vehicle that we are installing this on today does have an 8' bed, so we'll need to remove this U-bracket. more

Today on our 2013, Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab Long bed, we'll be installing the Westin GenX Oval Nerf Bars with hoop steps 4 inches wide in powder coated steel, part number 20-1335. We'll go ahead and start here on our driver's side. We'll be using three mounting brackets that'll mount to pre-existing areas on the vehicles so there is no drilling required to install these Nerf Bars. Let's go ahead and point out the locations we'll be using. On the front bracket, or the one closest to where the engine is, we'll be using three mounting locations. The top hole, we'll get an M-10 nut clip slid into it so that it lines up with the hole as well as the hole in thebracket. more

Today on our 2005 Ford F350 Super Duty well be installing the Putco Master Boss rounded running board, box board, part number P62522. Note, on this application well need to trim the rear edge in order for it to fit properly with the dual rear wheel setup on this vehicle. First well go ahead and take a straight edge, mark the line and then cut off the top edge. Now with that done were ready to go ahead and install the front end cap. This will be a black cap secured with two cap screws and a quarter inch flange nut. Then well move to the rear flap, or cap, which will be a large polished sheet of steel that well need to remove the protective film from. more

Today on our 2005 Ford F350 Super Duty well be installing the Putco Master Boss round running board, part number P62135. First before we install the running boards well need to do some preassembly. Well go ahead and take the drivers side running board, sit it out on a flat surface and install the front cap, or fender flare. Well use the cap screws and flange nuts to secure it. Then well move to the rear of the running board and install the rear cap. Again well use the cap screws and flange nuts to secure it. more

Bestop PowerBoard Motorized Running Boards Installation - 2003 Ford F-350

Today on our 2003 Ford F350 well be installing the Beststop Powerboard motorized running boards with LED lights, part number B7510415. First well need to attach the motor linkage and idler linkage for our running board. To do this well first take the U nut, insert it into the inner rocker panel of the truck. Starting with the rear motor linkage well then use the new 8 mm bolt and flat washer and thread them into the U nut. Now well go ahead and take the motor linkage and slide it into position with the two bolts that we just installed. Next well take the two socket cap screws and 10 mm washers, thread them through the rocker panel and into the threaded portion of the motor linkage. more
